Michelle is a partner with Dodson Gregory whose practice primarily focuses on the representation of insurance companies in coverage disputes. She also represents insurers in extra-contractual liability litigation. She is an AV Preeminent-rated attorney and recognized as a Super Lawyer in the area of insurance coverage. She has been repeatedly recognized as one of Birmingham’s Top Lawyers and Top Women Attorneys by B-Metro Magazine. She advises insurance companies on the interpretation and application of a variety of insurance policies, including general liability, business auto/trucking liability, environmental liability, directors and officers liability, professional liability, and personal lines, including homeowners.

Michelle obtained her undergraduate degree in history from Birmingham-Southern College, where she graduated cum laude with a distinction in leadership studies. She then attended the University of Alabama School of Law where she was selected to be a member of the National Moot Court Team, Campbell Moot Court Board, Bench & Bar Legal Honor Society, and served as secretary of the Student Bar Association. She is a 2003 cum laude graduate.

Michelle is a member of the Alabama State Bar, Defense Research Institute, and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. She has also served as Chairman of the Public Service Committee of the Birmingham Bar Association.

In addition to her work with the Bar, Michelle is a Past President of the Young Leadership Board of The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama. She has also worked with the Make-A-Wish Dream Team for the Alabama-Georgia Region and was selected as a member of the Birmingham Young Leadership Class of the National MS Society. Michelle and her husband Chris are members of Highlands United Methodist Church, where she currently serves on the Board of Trustees.
